TeeClipper FAQ

It says "Powered By Google." What's that about?
TeeClipper uses Google for its searches - but only on the sites that are submitted here. You can get your own Google custom search engine at http://www.google.com/coop.

What's with the name?
It's really hard to come up with a good, unique name with "tee" in it. Boston Tee Party didn't seem to fit, so this was next on the list.

Can anyone add their sites?
It's a work in progress, but for now anyone can become a contributor with a Google account. There are plans to create a verification system soon that verifies that your Cafepress shop ID exists, so you will need to have a CafePress shop to use it, but you're supposed to have one anyway

Can't I just use Cafepress or real Google to find what I'm looking for?
Well, there's really no reason you can't... For now, at least, the results you'll get are from shops that are actually trying to make money -- they actually make the effort to add themselves to the search engine -- so when you do a search, the irrelevant non-Cafepress crap you would get with a regular Google search and the cruddy effortless sketchwork you would get with a CP search are reduced purely by the nature of the system.

So all this does is search?
Pretty much. This is one big experiment, though, and I've got a few ideas brewing up my sleeve to make TeeClipper more appealing.
